Back it up

I learnt to use computers and was immediately told about the need to back up, and not just once. It is probably because of this training in the past that even before I start a document, I give it a file name and save it. Believe me, I am not going to trust myself to the mercy of a software safeguard, when a small task will allow me greater peace of mind.

Surjit Singh Barnala, the Governor of Tamil Nadu, celebrated his 86th birthday at the Raj Bhavan in Chennai, a city that I am visiting these days. He has graciously extended his hospitality to me and naturally, I was glad to be there to greet him on his birthday.
