Rashtrapati Bhavan was very much a part of my world when I was young and in college.  A few years later, I spent a few hours at the White House, and saw the differences between the two presidential residences. Yesterday, I went through a nice book on Rashtrapati Bhavan.  It was here that the ceremony to present the Baton to the first Marshal of the Indian Air Force, Arjan Singh DFC, was held in 2002. Today the new Prime Minister will be sworn in here what is often called the finest, most magnificent edifice in the world.
